Client: Yin Hua Cai
Ms. Cai loves hosting her friends and family over whether for a karaoke session or a dinner party. When Ms. Cai is not entertaining, she loves to read non-fiction novels with a cup of herbal tea to unwind from work or just to have a relaxing morning. She works long hours at the office so she wants her home to feel like a getaway.
To accommodate large groups of people, I created a open floor plan with a spacious kitchen and living area. The large windows and skylights let in natural light which adds warmth to the space and the neutral paints and finishes give a calming atmosphere. Furnished with non-toxic and sustainable furniture pieces, tribal knick knacks from her travels adorn the nooks and crannies of Ms. Cai's contemporary yet charming home.
